Last year at the 2012 Oscars, Rooney Mara, stunned everyone in her white Givenchy gown, which was a departure from her traditional black wardrobe. The gown embodied the same feminine lines and exquisite details of Cate Blanchett's haute couture gown in pale purple gown from Riccardo Tisci Spring 2011 Collection.

Cate wasn't the first to wear Givenchy on the red carpet, in 1954 Audrey Hepburn won an Oscar for "Roman Holiday" and wore a white floral gown by Givenchy, who often dressed her for films and the red carpet.

Riccardo Tisci's Couture collection of 10 pieces for Spring 2013 has several looks inspired by 1927 Fritz Lang movie Metropolis that I hope to see on the red carpet especially this daring white art deco number. Who do you think could pull this off? Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence or maybe even Naomi Watts?
