Well, not exactly. But the Spanish brand, Loewe, has been referred to as the Hermés of Spain. Loewe was founded just 9 years after Hermés making it one of the oldest luxury goods companies in the world. The brand has an understated luxury appeal with focus on craftsmanship and like Hermés uses only the finest leathers to create their handbags. The buttery soft leather has an easily detectable lightness and sheen. The skins are dyed with organic dyes, hand buffed and polished with glass cylinders. Until now, Loewe handbags were hard to locate in the US. Net-A-Porter is now carrying a small selection of the bags including the iconic re-issued Flamenco. This is one of my favorites, in a full range of colors, the handbag is lightweight and spacious.
